Step Back in Time at the Majestic Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque
About
Jamek Mosque, officially known as Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, stands as one of the oldest mosque buildings in Kuala Lumpur. Its architectural style was crafted by Arthur Benison Hubback (A. B. Hubback), the Acting Architect of KL at the time, drawing inspiration from the Mughal Indian Muslim architectural style.

This classic mosque features three magnificent domes, with the largest reaching a height of up to 70 feet. The prayer hall is located beneath these grand domes, creating a serene and spacious atmosphere for worship.
Serving as the principal mosque of Kuala Lumpur until the construction of the National Mosque (Masjid Negara) in 1965, Jamek Mosque holds significant historical and cultural value.
Conveniently located beside the Masjid Jamek LRT station, the mosque is easily accessible. Whether you’re passing by or intentionally stopping to visit, you can always enjoy the scenic views from the LRT and immerse yourself in the rich history and stunning architecture of the Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque.
